MIXED MESSAGES VS APPROVED & RIGHT

Right to legal sale support of approved causes & groups yet backlash Vs legal aspects publicly & at workplaces

Supporting Palestine in Canada is not banned, and advocating for Palestinian rights, attending protests, and expressing solidarity remain legal and constitutionally protected. However, the movement has faced significant political and social pushback, resulting in restricted protests, workplace disciplinary actions, and debates over certain activist organizations.

The current situation is defined by a few key factors:

Right to Protest and Assembly: While peaceful assembly is protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, several Canadian municipalities (such as Toronto, Vaughan, Brampton, and Calgary) have passed controversial bylaws that restrict protests outside of places of worship, schools, and homes. Civil liberty groups argue these municipal restrictions infringe on free speech.

Workplace and Academic Repercussions: Many Canadians have faced harsh social and economic consequences—such as being fired from jobs, suspended from universities, or facing intense professional pressure—for publicly stating pro-Palestinian views. Organizations like the British Columbia Civil Liberties Association have condemned this as the systemic suppression of political expression.

State Recognition and Policy Shifts: Canada officially recognizes the State of Palestine. While the Canadian government continues to support a two-state solution, it also faces intense political lobbying from various domestic advocacy groups regarding its foreign policy and arms trade with Israel.

Contested Organizations: Specific groups and individuals have faced intense scrutiny under Canada's terror listing frameworks. Activists note that pro-Palestinian solidarity organizations often face disproportionate legal targeting and systemic suppression.

MAXING EMAIL STORAGE GMAIL

Thankfully your account does not automatically delete

When your Gmail reaches its storage limit, your account essentially freezes. You will immediately stop receiving new emails (they will bounce back to the sender), and you won't be able to send any outgoing messages.

Because Google pools storage across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, maxing out your limit will also disrupt those services.

Here is exactly what happens and how to fix it:

The Consequences

• No Incoming Mail: People sending you emails will get a bounce-back message saying your mailbox is full. You will not get these emails later once you clear space; the sender has to re-send them.

No Outgoing Mail: You won't be able to send any messages.

Drive & Photos Freeze: You won't be able to back up new photos, create or edit Google Docs/Sheets, or upload files to Drive.

Risk of Deletion: If your account remains over the storage quota for two years, Google may delete your content across Gmail, Drive, and Photos.

How to Fix It

1. Find your biggest space hogs: Go to the Google One Storage Manager. This tool will show you a breakdown of exactly what is eating up your space (Gmail, Drive, or Photos) and help you easily delete large files or spam.

Empty your Trash/Bin: Simply deleting emails or files doesn't free up space immediately. You must go to the

Trash/Bin folder in both Gmail and Google Drive and delete those items permanently.

Delete by size: In Gmail, you can search for large emails by typing has:attachment larger:10M in the search bar. Delete the heavy ones to free up space fast.

Buy more storage: If you don't want to delete anything, you can upgrade your plan using Google One Plans (prices typically start at around CAD/year for 100GB).

Note: After clearing space, it can sometimes take anywhere from a few minutes up to 24-48 hours for the Google servers to update and for you to start receiving emails again.
